Who is Jan G. Linn?
Who am I? I hope I am a voice of reason at a time when Christians seem to have lost their balance
and politicians are trying to exploit that fact. In my view too many Christian leaders want to blur the line between religion
and politics by insisting that Christians have a corner on morality and values. Yet we prove every day by the way we talk
and act that we don't. Our nation doesn't need more religion. It needs a more informed public that holds political leaders
accountable for representing them instead of special interests. So I am a minister who speaks up. I refuse to remain silent
in the face of what is going on in our nation that is dividing us into various factions with no sense of common good.
Yes, I am a husband, father, grandfather, author, and co-pastor of a church with my wife, Joy. But I am
also a voice trying to speak for those like me who don't like what we have become as a nation or as a Christian community,
but feel ignored by the press because we are not extremists. I am only one among many voices in this cause, but I am glad
to be in this company of the committed.
